Truly a space age product, Koolcoat is an inexpensive
and easy-to-use insulating material now available to the general
public. Non-toxic, chemically stable ceramic microspheres
mixed with any paint can provide an insulation value comparative
to R-20. Koolcoat can be applied to the exterior and interior
of your building in order to insulate it from the radiant
heat of the sun. The increased reflective insulation of Koolcoat
lowers energy bills and provides protection from Thermal Shock.

Advantages of Exterior Use
Koolcoat applied with a quality roof paint to a "built-up"
roof will add years of life to the roof, provide insulation
and weather barriers plus reduce heating and cooling costs
by as much as 40%. Koolcoat, with the same paint on a metal
roof, provides the same durable weather resistant insulation
benefits plus protection from corrosion. Applying Koolcoat
to the underside of a roof will reduce heat gain in the building
allowing the existing fiber insulation to work more efficiently
in controlling heat gain. Inexpensive or "left-over" paints
can be used in this application.
Advantages of Interior Use
Koolcoat applied with interior latex paint to walls and
ceilings help lower energy costs by keeping desire temperatures
more constant. Koolcoat applied to a garage door will lower
summer garage temperatures up to 20° F.
Easy to Use
Koolcoat is easy to use and much more cost effective
than pre-mixed ceramic insulating coatings. Koolcoat comes
in a premeasured container easily mixed into the paint of
choice and applied by spray, roller or, in small areas, brush.
When Koolcoat is mixed with 5 gallons of paint you get an
additional gallon of paint (1 gal.) giving you approximately
six gallons. Thereby reducing your paint costs. Coverage in
each coat ranges from 50 sq. ft. to 200 sq. ft. per gallon.
